A Somewhat Different Scene – a look inside Daniel: a first-person perception

Have you ever heard the term ecstasy? The word ecstasy is derived from the Greek, meaning “out of place” or “out of body.” No I am not talking about the drug, which, from my research, gets its name from what you are about to read. In religion, ecstasy means a change in the state of consciousness characterized by expanded spiritual awareness, visions, or absolute euphoria. What does this mean? Well, it means that people can shift their normal perception to a greater realm or consciousness.
During the summer of the year 2003, I was visiting with my mom and she showed me her dream dictionary. We had been talking about dreams and their meanings and I had become very interested in the fact that you can learn a lot about yourself and what your subconscious mind is thinking about. As we looked through the dream dictionary together I found out that my mind was yearning for me to expand myself and find more avenues to travel down. It wanted me to search for something greater to experience. I began to get very interested in dreams and wanted to know more about them and what they really had to offer. I went in search on the internet.
I began searching the vast information network hoping to find something interesting; what I found changed the course of my entire life. At first what I read seemed very confusing and far ‘out there’ that I started to believe it was fantasy and figments of people’s imaginations. Creating an entire world solely on thought seemed impossible and unbelievable. But could it be true? I had to find out for myself.
What am I talking about might you ask? I’m talking about a way to completely expand your mind and delve into an entirely different universe. A universe we call, ‘The Astral Dimension.’ The world of the Astral is quite amazing; anything can be created, and anything can be discovered. It’s a world of endless possibilities. Take for instance a beautiful canvas created by an artist. The blooming flowers arching across a small path leading to the large mountains on a beautiful sunny day draw you inward to the picture and create a sense of warmth and peace inside you. When you enter the Astral Dimension, you can enter this beautiful world created by the artist. All you have to do is ask for it.
An Out-of-Body Experience (OBE) is something that happens to a person when his or her body is completely relaxed and asleep. If he or she can achieve full physical sleep while keeping his or her mind awake, then he or she can have a most wonderful experience. The duration of the experience can last from minutes to hours, depending on a person’s mental strength and alertness at the time. Usually, however, most people fade into a dream within several minutes when just starting out. With practice, anyone can achieve longer Astral Projections.
This is not a how-to guide, so I am not going to be explaining how to achieve an OBE. I am just going to be talking about my perspective on the matter and what I really think about with my free time. Going back to 2003 I began studying OBE’s and how to achieve them and finally had my first one within four weeks. It was easily the most amazing experience I had ever achieved since the beginning of my existence and to this day is still the most thrilling thing. Having my body completely paralyzed and immobile was very frightening at first but after several moments and doing the relaxation techniques I found that I could move easily and freely. I floated out of my body. With my mind being completely unstable and very excited I didn’t find myself next to my bed when I could finally see, instead I was in a large city I had never seen before.
